Planning, Completing and Editing Podcasts

Leonard Cheshire produces a podcast called 'The Disability Download'. I was given the opportunity to co-ordinate and create 2 episodes. This included talking with guests, devising questions, conducting the interview, an initial edit, and a social media plan.

The first episode I did featured a disabled, queer author from New York. We discussed their debut novel and other written work, as well as chronic illness in academia. It was a hugely positive experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them.

The second episode was about autism, gender and how that changes the university experience. This was passed onto me as the original colleague who was covering it felt that a queer, disabled voice was better suited to represent the organisation in this context. It was a fun and friendly conversation, which required a lot of editing, as we had too much fun and spoke at length. This is due for release in 2022.
